Disappointing Beauty Products

April 14, 2018

The season of makeup sales is upon us! I want you to get the most out of your makeup, so I thought I would share products that didn’t work for me and I personally would pass on. But don’t take my criticisms too seriously, because just because it didn’t work for me, doesn’t mean it won’t for you.

Too Faced Born This Way Foundation:

I really wanted to love this foundation, but it simultaneously broke me out and dried me out. My skin took a while to recover.

Loreal Lash Paradise Mascara:

Despite the hype, I just couldn’t get into this mascara! Some days it would look amazing, and other days it didn’t. Towards the end of the day, my lashes weren’t curled. Then, I had some clumping and flaking issues. Also, I’m pretty sure it was the cause of my burning, itchy eyes. Man, do I wish this mascara worked for me!

Too Faced Hangover RX Primer:

This used to be a favorite. However, after finishing my second tube I realized that while it is moisturizing, I don’t think it really does anything amazing for my skin or the longevity of my makeup. It’s not bad by any means, I just don’t think the product justifies the price.

Lorac Eyeshadow Formula:

About a year ago I got the Lorac Pro 2 and realized the formula just wasn’t for me. Even though the swatches are extremely smooth and pigmented, it just doesn’t pop on my eyes. Every look I did was just meh.

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Formula:

I feel like I’m cursed by this formula. It completely wears off after a few hours! I had to apply my Naked 2 Palette two-three times a day, which got old. For me, I just couldn’t fall in love. Then, I had an allergic reaction to one of the limited edition palettes. I’ve officially sworn off this formula!
